Poll 2 Breast Cancer Risk Calculator users motivation

In October 2000, a poll appeared on the risk calculator, asking "What motivated your visit to this page?"  The results were. 

Women who have already had breast cancer are infrequent visitors, whereas women who know friends or relatives with breast cancer are the most frequent visitors.  It was useful to learn that 16.6% of visitors had a breast symptom, which tells me I should offer some information to address this concern.

Some poll respondents gave these extra comments and constructive criticism:

• Thank you so much for doing this quiz. I've never had breast cancer in my family but I still wanted to know my risks.
• Keep up the informative work!
• thank you for the risk calculator but shouldn't grandmothers also be included in the first answer
• Thank you for informing me that even women in their seventies should still be aware of the risks.
• In your survey you should ask more questions, such as have you ever had breast cancer. This is by no means accurate and may scare or confuse women.
• This has given me a fright regarding my risk but now I can take action!! Thank you for providing such a site.
• I believe this site is doing a great service in showing women what potential risks they have for breast cancer.
• keep up the good work & please publish more information about this topic
• Thank you, I feel better
